Meet kerry

Kerry Forestal is a lifelong public servant with deep roots in the district he now seeks to represent. He’s spent decades serving our community, raising his family here, worshiping here, and investing his career in keeping Hoosiers safe.

Kerry began his career with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, earning a reputation as a steady professional who puts people first. He was later appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as the U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Indiana, a role that strengthened his commitment to public safety, partnerships, and integrity in leadership. Kerry then returned to lead the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, winning election in 2018 and 2022.

Kerry and his high school sweetheart, Kathy, raised their family in this community. Today, Kerry’s adult children live here too, raising their kids in the same neighborhoods and schools his family has long called home. That’s why this race is personal: Kerry isn’t running to climb a ladder—he’s running to protect the place he loves and to make it easier for families to build a good life here.
